    Emma is an experienced journalist having recently been named Digital Journalist of the year by the Association of Online Publishers (AOP) Awards 2011 and Digital Writer of the Year 2011. Emma specialises in media, digital trends, culture and social affairs. She is currently the Digital Media Editor of the Daily Telegraph and a broadcaster regularly appearing on channels including BBC Radio 4, BBC Five Live, Sky News, CNN, BBC Three and LBC.

    Every Sunday Emma hosts her own radio show, the Sunday drive-time slot, on LBC, London’s Biggest Conversation (97.3) from 4-7pm, in which she examines the biggest news stories of the day, interviewing the key people making the headlines.

    She is presenting a new TV series on Sky One about digital media and technology, which begins in January 2012.

    Emma is also writing and presenting a documentary for BBC Radio 4 at the start of next year, looking at our online identities and who owns our information in the digital age.

    Every month, she takes on the role of ‘The Interrogator’, for a new podcast that confronts social, political and religious dilemmas from all angles.

    This year Emma has been tipped as a 'one to watch' having been selected to be part of Red Magazine's annual '20 under 30′ Hot List - which picks the most up and coming women under the age of 30 and was shortlisted

    In a short space of time Emma has become a leading media and culture commentator having interviewed some of the most influential personalities and broken major stories. She also has a monthly column in The Sunday Telegraph.

    Emma is currently developing a number of innovative TV documentaries with several production companies that investigate both cultural and social issues using her expertise.


    Emma is known for her affable style and talent for explaining difficult concepts in an accessible and entertaining way. She has gained a loyal following on Twitter and is ranked the ninth most influential UK journalist on the service.

    This year Emma has covered several of the large cultural events including the royal wedding for LBC and the Hay-on-Wye Literary Festival for The Telegraph and Telegraph TV.
    Prior to joining The Telegraph, she worked for Media Week and also contributed to The Times, The Sunday Times Culture Magazine, Esquire Magazine and TimeOut London.

    Emma also writes regularly for Psychologies magazine, women’s site MyDaily and The Stage Newspaper.

    She studied History and Politics at Nottingham University, followed by the postgraduate journalism diploma at Cardiff University.
