Jonny Benarr
Description:
Jonny hit our screens in 2008 when he joined the hugely popular BBC daytime show To Buy or Not To Buy, then in it’s 9th series. He was working full time running his own estate agency when the production approached him about a cottage he was selling. They didn’t end up featuring the house but Jonny’s friendly, laid back attitude and property knowledge impressed them enough to sign him up. Jonny has continued with To Buy or Not To Buy and is currently filming for series 11.
Off the back of his success with To Buy or Not To Buy, Jonny landed the role as co-presenter on a new series for BBC daytime, Axe the Agent? The show aired in 2009 and followed home owners as they tried to sell their properties without an estate agent. It covered the highs and lows, benefits and pitfalls of going it alone in the property market as well as being packed with expert advice.
At 21 Jonny began working for Harrison Murray estate agents in Northampton where his love for all things property began. His reputation as a passionate, knowledgeable and friendly agent soon spread and after only three years in the industry he was approached about setting up his own estate agency for Cotters Property. At the age of 24 that was an opportunity too good to pass up and he became the towns’ youngest director of an estate agency. This allowed him to sell properties his way, with friendliness, fun, and fairness, combined with an acute understanding that it is expert knowledge delivered in an accessible way that both buyers and sellers crave.
Jonny’s entrepreneurial skills, property knowledge and experience help him deliver on TV as an authoritative property expert and presenter. With a passion for the environment, particularly eco-design and building, and a keen eye for contemporary and classical architecture, he knows all there is to know about the property game.
